Papers

IWDA contributes to the wider community in a variety of ways.

Our aim is to:

  • To investigate emerging issues for women and development practice
  • To advocate within the sector and beyond, utilising the knowledge based developed through practice, research and evaluation.
  • To undertake innovative research independently or with appropriate partners
  • To operate as a collaborative learning organisation internally and externally
  • To extend networks and share knowledge and resources in gender and development fields locally and internationally, building on IWDA’s understanding of the impact of multiple sources of disadvantage (eg gender, poverty, rate)
  • The creative utilisation of new technologies to expand IWDA’s role as a resource base for women both internally and externally.
  • To create self-supporting networks where partners strengthen each other, linked to a focus on capacity
  • To develop and support networks and capacity building in partner projects
