A Time For Peace

IWDA stands in solidarity with our sisters in Palestine and Israel and internationally in demanding an immediate end to the violence and killing in Gaza, and the immediate reopening of Gaza to allow humanitarian aid to get through.

We extend our solidarity to all civilians, especially women and children, who are the victims of the fundamentalism and militarism on both sides of the conflict.

We demand an immediate resumption of the peace negotiations and that women be involved at all stage of peacemaking and peacebuilding to help secure a just and sustainable peace for all, in line with UN Resolution 1325.

Only by achieving a ceasefire and an end to all violence is there hope for the children of Gaza to share a future that gives promise of peace, family life, education, jobs, art, music and time to dream.  We stand with all women and men who are working toward peace in Gaza at this time.
