WACky Peace

Women’s Action for Change (WAC) in Fiji has just released their first peace-building newsletter entitled Wacky Peace. It is a very interesting read, outlining WAC’s approach to peacebuilding, their program activities and ways they are engaging men and boys to achieve gender equality. IWDA formed a partnership with WAC in 2005, and currently supports the implementation of the program “Women living and growing in informal settlements”. This program aims to empower and support women living in informal settlements to improve their lives, reduce community conflict and engage decision makers in discussions around much needed services and facilities.
