UNDP 2009 Media Fellowship focuses on Gender

undp_logoThe United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced that the theme for the 2009 Asia Pacific Human Development Media Fellowship is Gender: Overcoming Political, Legal and Economic Inequality

The aim of the media fellowship is to encourage dissemination and advocacy on issues of concern to countries of the Asia Pacific region from a human development perspective. The fellowship is premised on the idea that stronger media coverage of human development could promote focus on critical development concerns.  The fellowship is intended to support mid-career media professionals to communicate human development themes in mainstream media.

So, pass this information on to any individuals and institutions you know who you think would be interested in applying.

Applications are due on 1 September 2009.
