Violence Against Women in Melanesia and East Timor – Building on Global and Regional Promising Approaches
Violence against women is both a symptom and a cause of gender inequality and discrimination, and is a major barrier to development in Melanesia and East Timor. A more comprehensive and effective response to violence against women is urgently required if the Millennium Development Goals are to be achieved in Melanesia and East Timor.
