Pacific Beijing +15 Review Report

Pacific Beijing +15 Review Report: Call for expression of interest.

The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) working closely with the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) and other development partners based in the Pacific island region recognises and supports increased engagement of Pacific island countries in international and regional processes aimed at progressing gender equality and the advancement of women.

The report will take into account relevant regional gender equality frameworks for action such as those related to violence against women, HIV, information, communication and technology developments, peace and conflict resolution and climate change.

The report will be used as a baseline document for the review of the Pacific Platform for Action at the 11th Triennial Conference of Pacific Women and 4th Ministerial on Women to be convened by the SPC in 2010.

Deadline for an expression of interest is 1st November 2009.
