WPP Call For Applications: Training of Trainers: Gender-Sensitive Approach to Peacebuilding.

The Africa Regional Desk of IFOR/ Women Peacemakers Program is a program hosted by West Africa Network for Peace-building (WANEP). Gender-sensitive active non-violence preventive approach to peacebuilding is the basis upon which the African Desk of IFOR/ women Peacemakers Program was framed and this has underpinned its operations since its establishment in June 2007. The Desk therefore is committed to enhancing the capacity of African women to transform societies for peace through gender sensitive active non-violence.

Deadline for applications: February 5, 2010.

One very significant component of the Desk’s activities is the Training of Trainers (ToT) in Gender Sensitive and Active Non Violence to enhance the skills and capacity of middle level women already engaged in gender, rights and non violent trainings and education at the grassroots in Africa.
