On June 15 2010 Ursula Rakova, Executive Director of IWDA partner Tulele Peisa, spoke to Pearson Vetuna on Pacific Beat, Radio Australia, about a recent New Scientist report which claims that island atolls are in fact more resilient to rising sea levels.
Understandably, Ursula is concerned that this report – which only deals with some 27 islands – will make international donors less supportive of initiatives to relocate communities from island atolls.
