‘Half the Sky’

A music and arts event celebrating 100 years of International Women’s Day & raising funds for women in the Asia-Pacific region.

Featuring Clare Bowditch, Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier, Sally Dastey of TIDDAS, Lucie Thorne and The Town Bikes plus more…

Our inaugural ‘Half the Sky’ features a selection of Australia’s finest artists in a night of acoustic rhythms, sublime folk, outlandish brass, high voltage cabaret and theatrical delight to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day.

In 100 years the women’s movement has achieved one of the most fundamental changes in gender roles in human history. And yet women do two thirds of the world’s work and own 1% of its property, a global epidemic of violence against women persists and one woman dies in childbirth every minute.

IWDA works in partnerships to create positive change for women and their communities in the Asia-Pacific region. From a Safe House in Cambodia to radio programs in Fiji, our partners implement practical and rights-based projects that directly address poverty, discrimination and oppression.

Ticket Cost:

* $80 – A reserve: cabaret seating with light supper
* $50 – B reserve: concert style seating
* $30 – C reserve: standing room
