UN Women Australia, formerly UNIFEM Australia, invites you to celebrate International Women's Day at a fundraising breakfast.

Date: Thursday, 3rd March
Time: 7 AM to 9 AM
Venue: Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre (MCEC)
Ticket Prices: Student / Concession: $49, Standard: $79, Corporate Tables $1,290, Corporate Tickets: $129
Breakfast will consist of sweet and savoury pastries, fresh yoghurt cups with fruit and mueslie, selections of teas, coffees and fresh juices and a hot plated breakfast.

Speakers: Unity Dow and Dr Seskia Shand

Unity Dow is a human rights activist, lawyer and writer from Botswana. In 1998, she was the first female justice appointed to the High Court of Botswana after a distinguished legal career in which she advocated for the rights of women and indigenous groups. She is a renowned novelist having authored five books that deal with endemic problems within Africa.

Dr Seskia Shand has worked in the NGO sector for the past 14 years in relief, development, advocacy, food security, governance and HIV prevention. Born in Zimbabwe, Seskia gained her doctors degree in international relations at the University of Melbourne and now runs an NGO best practice consultancy.
