Other Info
We are very excited to invite you to the Melbourne Fundraiser screening of Oranges and Sunshine – the extraordinary true story of Margaret Humphreys, a social worker from Nottingham, who uncovered one of the most significant social scandals of recent times: the deportation of thousands of children from the United Kingdom to Australia.

Almost single-handedly, against overwhelming odds and with little regard for her own well-being, Margaret reunited thousands of families, brought authorities to account and drew worldwide attention to an extraordinary miscarriage of justice.

Starring Emily Watsons, Hugo Weaving and David Wenham, and from the Oscar winning producers of The King’s Speech, Oranges and Sunshine is an incredible story of courage and compassion.

“A powerful real-life story told with sensitivity and grace. Emily Watson is on staggering form”. Time Out.

Time: 5:45pm for a 6:15pm start

Cost: $25 per person

Proceeds will contribute to IWDA’s work supporting practical and rights-based initiatives that directly address poverty, oppression and gender inequality in Asia and the Pacific. And once again, Cocoa Farm has kindly donated delicious chocolates to indulge on during the film!

Book your tickets online today (http://www.iwda.org.au/au/2011/05/18/oranges-and-sunshine/) or call (03) 9650 5574 to pay over the phone. Please RSVP by Friday 17 June, 2011.

We look forward to seeing you there!
