Iwda Newsletter 74Empowering Women through Partnership

Can you think of a time in your life where you undertook a major, positive change?  You may have been fortunate enough to have had the assistance of others; your friends, your family and your community, making the change easier.  It is the same for the women IWDA works with in Asia and the Pacific and the generous support of our donors helps empower these women to make positive change.

This newsletter focuses on partnership and features news about our Pacific partners. Partnership is the cornerstone of all of the work we do, it is our lifeblood. It is vital that we work with our overseas partners in a way which not only contributes to their capacity but also adds to our understanding of the issues that confront them. There is always more to be done and more that we want to do – because the lack of opportunities for women remains an issue and we know that investing in women is the single most effective way to promote sustainable change.

The projects we write about in our newsletters change lives, and we enjoy being able to share something of this with you.  To read the Spring 2008 newsletter Download Newsletter 74 here
