How We Work

We work in partnership with local partners to jointly design programs that deliver long-term sustainable benefits to women and their communities. We recognise that positive and sustainable change requires the active inclusion and participation of women. Working in partnership with local women who live and work in the communities allows responses that are direct and appropriate to issues affecting their lives.

“Working in partnership enables the sharing of technical expertise and resources as well as the opportunity to build new models and innovative ways of working. By jointly sharing the challenges we face as women working in the Asia Pacific, we learn so much from our project partners. We feel privileged to be sharing the journey with so many amazing and inspirational women. Together we share the joy and the heartache. The energy is boundless and the benefits immense.” – Carole Shaw, Senior Manager, Programs, IWDA
