On Tuesday 8 March 2011, IWDA called upon some of Australia’s finest artists to celebrate 100 years of International Women’s Day with a music and arts event Half the Sky at Melbourne’s Thornbury Theatre.

Half the Sky attracted a sell out crowd, and the audience was treated to stellar performances by Clare Bowditch, Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier, Stiff Gins, Sally Dastey of TIDDAS, Lucie Thorne, The Red Brigade and The Town Bikes!

Half the Sky also enabled IWDA to raise over $31,000 which will support our work for women and their communities in Asia and the Pacific.

Thank you for making Half the Sky an amazing success!
